📖 “I Do Believe—Help My Unbelief”

As we continue our journey through June—our dedicated month of Family Prayer Revival—we turn our hearts this week toward one of the most raw and honest prayers in Scripture. In Mark 9, a father brings his tormented son to Jesus. The disciples had tried and failed to deliver the boy, but the desperate father does not give up. He cries out to Jesus:

> “If You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,
“Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:22–24 NKJV)

🔥 What This Means for Our Families Today

This father’s cry mirrors the cry of many parents today—those burdened by children struggling with emotional, spiritual, or even physical battles. He believed, but he was also honest about his doubts. And Jesus didn’t reject him for that. Instead, He moved with power and compassion.

In the context of family revival, this passage reminds us:

📌 Fathers and mothers are called to stand in faith for their children—even when it’s hard.

🙏 It’s okay to come to God with shaky faith. He meets us in our weakness and strengthens our belief.

🏠 Miracles begin at home when families humble themselves before Jesus and cry out together.

🛐 Family Prayer Focus

As a family this week, gather and pray like this father did:

Lay your burdens before God.

Be honest about your doubts and fears.

Ask Jesus to help your unbelief and strengthen your family’s faith.

Let this be a week of transparent faith and healing hope in our homes.
